GROUP HOMES
Martin Enterprises operates two group home facilities. One group home is sponsored by The ARC of North Carolina and is located in Williamston, North Carolina. The other group home is sponsored by Easter Seals UCP of North Carolina and is located in Robersonville, North Carolina.
Both homes house six residents and have a full time staff available to provide services 24 hours per day. Residents receive supervision while in the home at night and on weekends. VOCATIONAL REHABILITATION TRAINING & PLACEMENT SERVICES
Martin Enterprises operates three vocational programs sponsored by the NC Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. These programs are Supported Employment, Vocational Evaluation, and Work Adjustment. The purpose of these programs is to enable each individual to reach his or her highest level of vocational achievement.
Evaluation Program: This program measures the client’s strengths, identifies areas of need, enhances self-image and determines the level of the individual’s learning ability. This testing also assesses the client’s vocational potential for a wide variety of jobs.
Work Adjustment and Supported Employment Programs: Staff identifies job openings in the business community. Job-ready individuals are matched with appropriate openings. A professional job coach is assigned to each individual at his/her job site. The job coach provides on-the-job training and supervision as the worker learns the skills required for his or her job. The job coach may also assist in job modifications or adaptations to increase worker productivity. Employee assistance is available after the training phase as needed for job retention.
Benefits To The Employer: Tax credits are available to businesses that hire adults with developmental disabilities. Businesses will also enjoy reduced turnover, dependable employees, low absenteeism, and a job coach at no cost.
